Privacy Policy

Document contents

Simple Diff reads and compares text and files in your browser. The application does not send document contents to a server for comparison. Contents remain in session memory and are not saved by the application in localStorage or the offline cache. Downloads you choose to save remain on your device.

Technical requests

Cloudflare delivers the application and establishes a technical session. Loading fonts may make requests to Google Fonts. These services receive connection data such as your IP address and browser information under their own practices. This is separate from sending comparison contents.

Preferences and cookies

LocalStorage stores your language preference. A short-lived technical session cookie may be used; on HTTPS it uses Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite protections. The application does not implement advertising cookies.

Offline use

Once preparation is confirmed in the interface, application resources are cached in this browser for offline use. This cache holds pages and code, not your documents. Before preparation, if storage is blocked or after the cache is cleared, some features may need a connection.

Usage statistics

Google Analytics measures pages and sessions with pseudonymous cookies. In Europe it loads after permission; outside Europe it starts unless you opt out. Unknown region requires permission. Use Usage statistics to change your choice. No file contents, entered text, QR contents or filenames are sent. Cloudflare services and advertising have separate controls.
